Welcome to Bay Area Midwifery, a freestanding birth center located in Anne Arundel County, adjacent to Anne Arundel Medical Center. A full scope Midwifery practice offering well-woman care, family planning, preconception counseling, and prenatal care to low risk pregnant women. Staffed by four certified nurse midwives, Bay Area offers several birth options. Interested in a Birth Center Birth? Come check out our freestanding birth center, where Jacuzzi tubs are available. Unsure if natural birth is for you? We offer hospital births at Anne Arundel Medical Center. The Midwives at Bay Area are here to guide you through the birth of your choice. It's your miracle! What We Do-Birth Options

The Midwives at Bay Area Midwifery Center believe that birth is a normal process. We believe that women have the right to seek care that is safe and respectful to your individual physical, social, spiritual, psychological, and financial needs. We support family unity, and active participation in your pregnancy. We believe in women supporting women throughout the childbirth process, and offer birth options tailored to you. We offer an informational Birth options seminar twice a month. This seminar is designed to give prospective clients a tour of the Birth Center and as well as a time to discuss midwifery care.

In addition we now offer a monthly "Birth Options" seminar where you can discuss birth options available and tour the Birth Center with a midwife at Bay Area. Come see if a midwife is right for you.
